Amabie: Japanese supernatural spirit.

In 1846 the Amabie predicted 6 years of good harvest and then on the seventh year a plague. To stave off the plague, it was encouraged people to make images of the Amabie and share it with as many as possible.

In this Zoom class, we will learn more about the amabie and we’ll create postcards for you to share during this pandemic.
